What we’ve done at our house

Buildings can be wonderful additions to Earth’s surface, or they can be anything else. So with tiles. They can enhance a building, aesthetically or for practical reasons, or not. Since tile is a material of great longevity, its imaginative use can be a joy for many years.

Our governing imperatives for our house were:

• To be pleasurable to live in
• To be unostentatious but high quality
• To be easy to maintain
