Our marbleized silk scarves are hand made and hand marbleized right here in New England, and, as you can see, they come in the most attractive color combinations. They are 11” wide and about 54” long. And, each comes with a clip to permit it to be worn without tying it. We are impressed that their price is only $35.75.
Sheep Bed Warmer Cozy Sheep from Maine
$34.75
A grandma gave her granddaughter and her friend, who are away at school, each a Cozy Sheep. The granddaughter called a couple of nights later and said that the two girls were in her room and both of them were sitting around, warming their hands on their Cozy Sheep.
There’s bag of non-popping corn inside. There’s a Velcro strip down the tummy of the sheep, so the bag of corn can be taken out and warmed in the microwave. Or, it can be chilled in the freezer for a cold pad.
Made in Maine.

Apple Wood Pen Apple Wood Pen

G’Ma’s Clippers photo G’Ma’s Clippers
$17.00
The grandma in our family is an ardent gardener. She comes from a country of gardeners, so it’s in her blood. When we started our wreath business, we laid in a particular small clipper for clipping brush for the wreaths and other evergreen pieces. When Grandma discovered those, you’d think she’d found gold. She’s had a pair in her work pants pocket ever since.
Their virtues are several — they fit nicely in the hand and in the pocket, they are sharp so they cut nicely, when closed they have a rounded nose so they don’t bite the leg wearing the pocket, they don’t spring open, and the clip to hold them closed is simple and functions well.

Be Gone Dull Knives or Dull Just About Anything Else
Are dull knives an issue in your family?

One thing about having a youngster in the family who earns college money cheffing — he comes home with all kinds of neat tools. One such was a serious knife sharpener. We couldn’t believe how effective it was, so we thought we should share this wonderful find with our customers.
It’s an AccuSharp. It doesn’t look like anything, but it has a couple of diamond-honed tungsten carbide sharpening blades “little fellas” which perform as well as the description implies.
You hold the knife down on a table or counter, blade upwards, then run the sharpener lightly over it with the knife blade in the little slot on the sharpener. You can even sharpen serrated knives with it. The blue plastic shield is a hand protector.
The maker says the sharpener blades will last five to ten years in normal household service. And they can be reversed to double length of service. And, replacement blades are available.
Scissor Sharpener photo Scissor Sharpener

What About Scissors?
Scissors are an item unto themselves when it comes to sharpening them. Scissors blades are flat on one side and beveled on the other, so that has to be accommodated in the sharpener. Hence the ShearSharp, a device much like the knife sharpener but with a single carbide plane surface with a guide.
These tools do not rust and can be washed in soap and water or in the dish washer.

Gardeners:
What About Lawn Mower Blades, Pruning Shears, Loppers, Hoes, Spades, and Scythes?
There’s a design to deal with all these single edged tools that need to be sharp.
The secret is the same as for the other designs — the blades are diamond honed tungsten carbide. The design simply accommodates the particular requirements of this group of tools.
Wireless Weather & Date Station photo Wireless Weather & Date Station
$35.75
A Really Nifty Gift
Ours sits on our kitchen table. First thing each morning, we check ambient air temperature both outside and inside, get a fix on the day’s date, check the time, if we haven’t already done that before getting as far as the kitchen. We’ve always had an outdoor thermometer but this device, right on the kitchen table is highly convenient.
There are two pieces to it — the one such as is on our kitchen table and a small piece that is in a clip screwed to the wall outside. There is nothing to connect the two.
An instruction booklet comes with the package. The indoor “Temperature Station” uses two AAA, IEC LR3 1.5V batteries. And the outdoor sensor uses two AA, IEC LR6, 1.5V batteries. Batteries are available at Harbor Farm. If we send a gift from you to someone else, we will include the necessary batteries. Batteries $1.00 ea.
Four Function Spinner photo Four Function Spinner
$13.25
How About That?
This little device doesn’t look like much, but, turn it up to read “Calendar” on top and it gives you the date at the top of its screen in relatively small type, the time in the middle in bigger type, and, at the bottom, it lists the days of the week and causes the correct day to flash.
Now, turn it to read “Temperature” on top, and it will immediately give you the ambient temperature in either degrees F or degrees C. You select F or C by pressing the UP button on the back.
Then, turn it to read “Timer” and you get two digit spaces for minutes and two for seconds, so you can set the timer for up to 99 minutes and 59 seconds, and it will beep when the time is up. You use the “SET” button on the back to select minutes to set, or to select seconds to set, to start the count down, and to stop the action.
Finally, you can turn the little gadget to read “Alarm” and you will get a screen with four digits — 2 for minutes and 2 for seconds. You use the “UP” button on the back to set the alarm time, by hours and minutes. Use the “SET” to activate the alarm action.
The “Spinner” uses 2 AAA batteries.

A Nice Thing to Have
And
A Nice Thing to Give

A stone, tumbled by the sea or a river, is collected and mounted on a well-made rubber and metal bottle stopper. When a stone is collected, another stone – a rough one bought from a quarry – is put in its place to be tumbled for future generations. To complete both the charm and the usefulness, a nice little base goes along with the stopper. The base is a slice, a little over an inch, out of a branch. It has its bark on it and the sawn top reveals its growth rings. The wood used is also replaced by trees that are planted every year.
