Stairway

Going upstairs, first a cocoa matting inset. Here it is surrounded by angle brass because brass seems right for the main entry hall. And it stretches across the entry to the basement.

On the way upstairs, the wide wooden balusters have hand made 4" tiles of H.F.’s KW Series in deep, dark green glaze, like those in the wet bar, set in them — beautifully rendered mushrooms, frogs, turtles, and crickets in raised relief.
