Living Room

The living room, part of the original cape, has a large fireplace. Its structure is clad from floor to ceiling in the "serious" dark green tiles that run throughout the house. Set in a random pattern, 4 X 4s, 4 X 8s, and 8 X 8s, are interspersed with concrete tiles, some with pewter bumble bees at their centers, some with pewter jackets on them. A couple of escaped pewter bumble bees climb a nearby beam, and one or two others have made it to elsewhere in the room.

HARBOR FARM’s wrought iron hooks made just the right hangers in just the right place for fireplace tools — handy but off the floor.
