In the Opportunity Department

Because of the sociological changes of the last half century, certain old products have become available from highly populated areas of the world and at prices only a fraction of what they might be, had the artifacts originated in more developed countries. Our soapstone bowls are such an item. We have one of the large ones on our own terrace with water in it for the birds. We leave it out all winter. When the water in it freezes, we leave it to thaw naturally. The stone tolerates the slow freezing and thawing at ambient temperature levels.
