Coastal Spongeware
This shard stoneware is so oriented to Maine that it is tantamount to regional pottery. It has been in existence for a little over twenty years and it has become a collectors' item. Over the twenty years, the designs, which begin as water colors by Victoria Rattigan, have gone through a few iterations, but the character and general design is always the same. In response to customers who have expressed a preference for the decoration to be in a darker blue, it has now been darkened.
