The RAIS Rondo 120
New May 2008
The Rondo 120 offers heating performance equal to that of both the Rondo and Rondo 92 with an “optimal” output of 17 kBTU and an estimated heating capacity of 1100 sq. ft.
At 47.2”, it is a taller Rondo, and the combustion compartment with its glass door is higher in the room.
The 120 is a steel stove, in either black or gray. It has neither a baking compartment nor a wood storage space at the bottom. It can be either top or back vented. Because its top is of the same design and dimensions as the Rondo, a soapstone top may be ordered as an optional extra.
The 120 has an outside air supply system as standard equipment.
It can be fitted with an optional turntable. (Note: Turntables require a three-foot clearance all around.)
Stove exterior 19 1/3 x 19 1/3 x 47.2
Firebox interior 13.2 x 11.4 x 13.6
Stove, black or gray steel $4,600
Optional Soapstone top $655
Turntable system $480
The RAIS Rondo 92
New May 2008
The Rondo 92 is a response to those customers who want a basic steel, wood burning stove, built to state-of-the-art technical specifications. Its hull is similar to that of the Rondo but, at 36.2”, it is about 4” shorter. It has no baking compartment and no wood storage space. Its combustion control is similar to that of the Rondo, obviating the need for a shaker grate or ash pan.
The optimal heat output is rated at 17 kBTU, as is that of the Rondo. Its heating capacity is rated at 1100 sq. ft.
The 92 can be ordered in either black or gray steel, either top or rear vented. Since its top is similar to the Rondo’s, a soapstone top may be ordered as an optional extra.
The 92 includes an outside air supply system as standard equipment.
Stove exterior 18 5/16 x 19 5/16 x 36 1/4 Firebox interior 13 3/4 x 11 7/16 x 14
Stove black or gray steel $4,400
Optional soapstone top plate $655
The RAIS Rondo
The Rondo is a "New Generation" RAIS, but it adheres to the design concept of the original stoves. In many ways, it has the best of both new and earlier generations.i.e. a wood storage space at the bottom and a baking shelf that has a soapstone slab as standard equipment. But it has the latest in air flow and combustion control. It has no ash pan or shaker grate because combustion is so efficient that little ash is left to need an ash pan. The "optimal heat output" is rated at 17 kBTU, more than the Gabo, Vola, or Pina. It can be installed on a turntable. (Note: Turntables require a three-foot clearance all around.)
The Rondo is offered in steel, either gray or black. A soapstone top plate is an optional extra. It can be either top or rear vented.

The RAIS Topas
Expected September 2008
The Topas is a tall 51.2” flat sided, steel stove in black or gray, designed to state-of-the-art combustion and air control technologies, but retaining the familiar oven compartment and wood storage space.
Its optimal heat performance is rated at 17 kBTU. Its heating capacity is 1100.
The Topas has a new two-step door closing system that is designed to permit ash to settle before the door is opened, and to make it more difficult for children to operate.
The stove can be top or rear vented. The air system and turntable are standard equipment.
Stove exterior 15.5 x 19.1 x 51.2
Firebox interior 14 1/4 x 15 x 16 1/4
Stove black or gray steel $4,900
The RAIS Vola
The Vola is a new generation RAIS. It is a top vented steel stove in either black or gray. Its heating capability is similar to those of the Pina and the Gabo wood with an "optimal heat output" of 15.4 kBTU. There is no oven shelf in the Vola. The holes in the top of the hull in front are decorative and have steel behind them. The wood storage space has a drawer on rollers to be rolled out for filling elsewhere. It has the newest sealed combustion system, which obviates the need for an ash pan or a shaker grate.
The Vola can be equipped with the newest air system which permits introduction of air from outside the building for buildings built to stringent airtight specifications. It can also be fitted with a turntable as an optional extra.
Stove Exterior measures 20 7/8 x 16 5/8 x 46 7/8 Firebox Interior measures 14 3/4 x 9 5/8 x 14 3/4 Stove black or gray steel $3,910 Air system $210
The RAIS Bando
The Bando, the Malta, and the Bora are all about the same size in terms of heat output with "optimal" outputs of 23.9 kBTU. The Bando is a soapstone-clad stove, including the stove top and the oven compartment shelf. It has flat sides and back and a curved front for maximum visibility of the fire. It has an ash pan and a shaker grate.
The Bando can be top or rear vented. It is necessary for the stove to be top vented if it is to be on a turntable. There are rollers at the top of the stove for the pipe to be settled down on, permitting it to remain in place while the stove turns, and rollers at the bottom, permitting the stand to remain in place, while the stove turns. (Note: Turntables require a three-foot clearance all around.)
There is an air system, which permits air to be drawn from the outside, available as an optional extra.
Stove Exterior measures 21 3/4 x 23 x 43 3/4
Firebox Interior measures 14 1/8 x 13 3/4 x 14 1/8 Soapstone with gray steel $5,890 Turntable & connecting pipe $480 Air system $155
The RAIS Bora
The Bora is a steel stove, in either black or gray, with a soapstone top plate and a soapstone plate in the baking compartment, both as standard equipment. Its heat output is similar to those of the Malta and the Bando with an "optimal" output of 23.9 kBTU.
The Bora has flat sides and back with a round front for better visibility of the fire. Steel plates above and under the firebox are part of the system for advanced combustion control. This eliminates the storage space for wood at the bottom of the stove. A separate firewood holder is available as an optional extra.
The Bora can be either top of rear vented. However, it can be installed on a turntable, in which case the stove must be top vented. (Note: Turntables require a three-foot clearance all around.) An air system to draw air from the outside is also available.
Stove Exterior measures 22 1/2 x 21 5/8 x 43 7/8 Firebox Interior measures 14 1/8 x 14 3/4 x 14 1/8 Stove $4,880 Turntable and connecting pipe $480 Air system $155 Firewood holder black or gray steel $120; Stainless $315
The RAIS Cube
Not only is the Cube a really nicely proportioned, good looking outdoor grill, but its grill is at a convenient height at about 30”, and the bottom of the unit has the typical RAIS wood holding space.
The firebox is separate from the stand and swivels through 360 degrees.
The stove is of corten steel. The grill is stainless steel.
It is 45 7/10” tall, and 15 3/8” wide.
$1,110
The RAIS Gizeh
Not just a grill but also a work of garden art, the RAIS Gizeh, like good wine, becomes more beautiful and interesting with time. The tall and slim pyramid shaped stove is a stunning frame for a fire in the summer evenings with friends and family gathered for a barbecue. After dinner the RAIS Gizeh can be used as an open fireplace, and always as a beautiful garden sculpture. RAIS Gizeh changes appearance with the natural oxidation of the corten steel, which gives it a rusty look. The symbol on the back of the frame is the Arabic sign for Gizeh, meaning tip of the pyramid, and is especially beautiful when the light from the fire shines through.

Firebox interior 14 1/2 x 15 x 16 1/4
Stove black or gray steel $5,600
Soapstone blocks $600
The RAIS X-Basic
June 2008 availability expected
The X-Basic is a black steel, top vented stove, built to the latest technical specifications to derive the most efficient combustion.
Its heat output is considerably more than any of the other models. Its optimal heat output is rated at 72 kBTU. Its heating capacity is approximately 4,000 sq. ft.
Optimal heat output is a measurement derived under specifically controlled conditions in order to provide a base of comparison.
The X-Basic is as wide as it is tall, making it look lower than it is at 38.8”. It has a novel door which slides upwards, and is hinged at the bottom to allow it to be opened forward and down.
It has no ash pan because combustion is so close to complete that there is virtually no ash.
Stove exterior 38.6” X 20.7” X 38.8”
Firebox interior 21.7” X 14.2” X 16.9”
Black steel $10,900
The RAIS Gabo
The Gabo looks rather different from other RAIS stoves. It has a convection grate above the combustion chamber, which can be in black or gray steel to match the stove, or in stainless steel. There is no oven shelf. The Gabo is a steel stove, in either black or gray, but a soapstone top plate can be ordered for it. It has flat sides and back and a round front. The Gabo Wood, the Vola, and the Pina are similar in their "optimal heat output" which is 15.4 kBTU. The Gabo is one of the new generation stoves, which are built to the latest technical specifications for the control of air throughout the stove. This level of control enhances the efficiency of combustion, which obviates the need for a shaker grate or an ash pan. Air to the combustion chamber can be manually controlled with a metal tab which protrudes below the door. The door is tightly sealed when closed. The convection grill at the top of the front can be in either of the steel colors to match the stove or in stainless. The Gabo is available only top vented. It can be ordered with a soapstone top plate.
The Gabo Wood can be fitted to a turntable and an air system is available. (Note: Turntables require a three-foot clearance all around.)
Stove Exterior measures 20 1/8 x 18 1/8 x 39 5/8 Firebox Interior measures 14 3/4 x 9 5/8 x 14 1/2 Stove, black or gray steel with same color convection element $3,720 With stainless steel convection element $4,060 Soapstone top plate $690 Turntable and connecting pipe $480 Air system $185
The RAIS Gabo Gas
The Gas Gabo is a steel stove in either black or gray. It is built in the same hull as the wood version, so they look alike. As with the wood Gabo, a soapstone top plate is an optional extra. The Gas Gabo may, however, be either rear or top vented.
Optimal heat output is stated in a range 13 20 kBTU because gas flow is controllable. Heat range is assessed at 21 31 kBTU. Assessed capacity is not yet available.
Stove exterior 20 x 18 1'8" x 39 13/16
Firebox interior14 3/4 x 9 5/8 x 14 1/2
Stove black or gray steel, black or gray convection element $410
Stainless convection element $410
Soapstone top plate $625
The RAIS Pina
The RAIS Pina is a steel stove, in either black or gray steel, with flat sides and back, and a round front. It has no wood storage space under the firebox so it is mounted on a pipe about 12" - 14" high, which brings the glass door of the combustion chamber up to the desirable level. It is a "New Generation" model. It was awarded AMERICAN HEARTH AND HOME magazine's VESTA award for design.
Its heating capacity is similar to those of the Vola and the Gabo-wood with an "optimal heat output" of 15.4 kBTU. The Pina can be installed with a turntable but it can be used without one. Indeed, the turntable is an optional accessory. The turntable comprises a pair of fittings, one at the top where the exhaust pipe enters the top of the stove, and the other at the bottom of the stove, which contain rollers to permit the stove to turn while the exhaust pipe at the top and the pipe at the bottom remain still. (Note: Turntables require a three-foot clearance all around.)
The Pina does not have an oven compartment. As with the Vola and the Gabo-wood, the Pina is only top vented.
Stove Exterior measures 21 3/4 x 16 3/4 x 44 1/8 Firebox Interior measures 14 3/4 x 9 5/8 x 14 1/2 Turn table floor to bottom of stove 12" - 14" Stove black or grey steel $4,050 Turntable and connecting pipe $480
The RAIS Mino II
The new Mino is available in two versions. One is a soapstone stove with soapstone sides, top, and oven shelf. The steel part of it can be either black or gray. Or, it can be a steel stove, either black or gray, in which case the oven shelf plate is in soapstone as standard. The steel models can have soapstone top plates ordered for them as optional extras.
The Mino II has all of the newest RAIS developments in air control, which contributes to the highest combustion and heating efficiency, obviating the need for an ash pan and shaker grate.
The Mino can be top or rear vented. And it has a space for wood storage at the bottom.
Stove Exterior measures 20 x 18 x 39 2/5 Firebox Interior measures 13 1/5 x 11 2/5 x 13 3/5 Stove in soapstone $5,890 In steel, black or gray, oven compartment shelf in soapstone $3,690 In steel, black or gray, with soapstone top plate and oven compartment shelf $4,280 Air system $350
The RAIS Malta
The Malta is also similar to the Bora and the Bando for heat production with an "optimal" output of 23.9 kBTU. It is a steel stove in either black or gray with a soapstone oven plate as standard equipment. A soapstone top plate can be ordered as an optional extra. This stove has flat sides and back and a round front. It has an ash pan and a shaker grate behind the door. The front of the firebox has a seal to ensure that the door is closed tightly in the interest of efficient combustion. The sides and the back are flat but the glass door is curved for better viewing of the fire.
The Malta can be either top or back vented. It can be installed on a turntable, in which case it must be top vented. (Note: Turntables require a three-foot clearance all around.) An air system, which draws air from the outside, is also available.
Stove Exterior measures 20 7/8 x 20 1/4 x 42 3/8
