Maine's Lupine
Come mid June, one of the wonders of this area of Maine is its lupines, great patches of them. As one might expect, they are celebrated in the arts and crafts of our area, and Harbor Farm is an enthusiastic participant. This particular pottery is a pleasing gray stoneware. On its surface, the potter builds a rise which he glazes with white glaze. That forms the background on which he later paints his lupines in blue with green leaves. Tony produces utterly charming pottery - bowls of varying sizes, pitchers, mugs, oil lamps, even tiny flower vases. P-KR
