Ichihara Pottery

Takashi Ichihara makes remarkably beautiful bowls and platters, some of them huge, with a rich blue, wood ash glaze. The warm brown of the clay "looks through" the blue glaze around the edges or in decorative marks in bowls. Varying degrees of green sometimes occur, especially in the bottoms of the large bowls. P-YU
